This October, some of the world’s most influential leaders in health and politics will gather in Berlin for the World Health Summit 2023. The summit, which runs from October 15 to 17, will focus on pressing topics such as global health action. Over 300 speakers, including 20 ministers and other representatives from science, business and civil society, will join the discussions. All attendees have access to the full program online.
The World Health Summit 2023 provides a unique opportunity to make real progress in global health. By bringing together experts from all over the world, the summit is sure to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and actionable solutions to the world’s most pressing health issues.
Tonight’s opening ceremony is set to be a thrilling event, with a great line-up of speakers. German Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach, Ayoade Alakija the medical doctor from Nigeria and WHO Special Envoy, and Omnia El Omrani, Youth Envoy to the President of the UN 27th Climate Change Conference (COP27) will speak from the stage. Additionally, the WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus will be joining the event digitally, along with Christina Chilimba, founder of a youth organization in Malawi. We can expect video messages from the Prime Minister of Barbados and the French and Japanese Ministers of Health.
